Cost of Stamps Going up in May
The U.S. Postal Service today announced Price Increases that will be effective May 11, including a first-class stamp increase of 2 cents to 44 cents. The Postal Service says the increase is tied to rising production costs and inflation. According to a written release, the increase is expected to cost the typical family $3 a year.
You can still buy "Forever Stamps" at the current 42-cent rate until May 11. The Forever Stamps don't have a price denomination on them and will be honored whenever they are used, even if prices have gone up.
Stock up on Forever Stamps before May 11th!
